Studio AIC Makes New Student Council's Discretion Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
The May issue of Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Magazine is announcing on Monday that AIC is producing the new Seitokai no Ichizon (Student Council's Discretion) anime instead of the first anime's Studio DEEN. In addition, Kenichi Imaizumi (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) is directing the new anime with series script editor Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Bakuman., Kimi to Boku.), instead of Takuya Satō and Jukki Hanada for the same roles in the 2009 anime version.
The comedy revolves around Ken Sugisaki, a boy who becomes part of the student council of his private high school. He is the only boy on the council, where he is surrounded by cute girls.
Fujimi Shobo's Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint has published 10 main volumes and six spinoff books in the series since January 2008. H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~ manga artist Kira Inugami draws the illustrations in the novels. There have also been five different manga versions, including the main one by 10mo in Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Age Pure and Monthly Dragon Age magazines.
The media-distribution website Crunchyroll began streaming the first anime series outside Japan in 2010.
