Man Arrested for Uploading Haganai+ Manga via Share Program

The website for the Japanese Association of Copyright for Computer Software (ACCS) reported that on Tuesday, the Hiroshima police arrested a 25-year-old male graduate student in Japan's Yamaguchi prefecture for allegedly uploading the fourth chapter of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai+ manga to others via the Share file-sharing program without authorization.
As copyright infringement is a crime in Japan that requires copyright holders to lodge a complaint before police action is taken, the Hiroshima police contacted the copyright owners of the manga through ACCS and acted after receiving authorization from Shueisha and two creators of the manga.
