Anime Contents Expo Sells 44,857 Tickets in Advance

It was announced on Monday that 44,857 tickets to the 2012 Anime Contents Expo were sold during the initial advance ticket sales period. The first round of advance tickets, which were on sale from February 4 to February 23, also allowed attendees to enter a random drawing for a chance to attend the stage events that are held over the two days of the Expo. A previous announcement by the event stated that 18,508 of these tickets were sold within the first two days of availability.
The event will be held for the first time this year from March 31 to April 1. Tickets for the event are still for sale, though they no longer offer the chance to enter the stage event drawings.
