Rintaro, Madhouse's 2nd Meiji Candy Anime Ad Streamed

The Meiji candy company's official "Megumi & Taiyō" project website began streaming the second commercial that the anime Studio Madhouse and the director Rintarō (Galaxy Express 999, Metropolis) animated for Meiji on Saturday.
The 60-second "Unravelling the Mystery" commercial and the accompanying special trailer are part of the "Tweet Mystery Megumi to Taiyō II Kieta Sapphire Roman" (Tweet Mystery Megumi & Taiyō II: The Missing Sapphire Roman) campaign. This time, voice actress Nana Mizuki contributes the "Jikū Sapphire" (Space-Time Sapphire) theme song and plays Megumi, while Tomokazu Sugita voices Megumi's partner Taiyō.
The project promotes the February 28 release of Meiji's fruit juice gummy candy with special packaging in four flavors: golden pineapple, peach, grape, and lemon. As with the first commercial, Yūsuke Nakamura (The Tatami Galaxy) designed the characters.
The first "Megumi and Taiyō" commercial depicted the reunion of a girl named Megumi (Ai Hashimoto), who was raised near a grape orchard, and her childhood friend Taiyō (sakuma. Kazuyuki).
The "Megumi and Taiyō II" commercial centers on the mystery of Taiyō's missing "Sapphire Roman" — a seedling for grapes of "legendary" taste. People can follow three official Twitter accounts to find the culprit in the "Tweet Mystery" campaign. The entire mystery will be solved in a special movie that will be streamed in mid-March.
