Arakawa Under the Bridge Manga to Resume in April

This year's fifth issue of Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine announced on Friday that Hikaru Nakamura is resuming her Arakawa Under the Bridge comedy manga in the eighth issue on April 6. Like Nakamura's other ongoing manga Saint Young Men, Arakawa Under the Bridge has been on a half-year break since last September, due to Nakamura's maternity leave. In the caption for an illustration that she drew to announce the news, Nakamura revealed that she gave birth to her baby without incident, so she is ready to return to her manga work.
Nakamura launched Arakawa Under the Bridge in Young Gangan in 2004. She has also been drawing Saint Young Men in Kodansha's Morning 2 magazine since 2006. Arakawa Under the Bridge has inspired two television anime series which NIS America is releasing in North America. It later inspired a live-action television series and a live-action film which just premiered on February 4.
