Crunchyroll Launches 1080p High-Definition Streams

The media service Crunchyroll announced that it is offering high-definition 1080p video streams to premium members, starting immediately. Whereas premium members were able to stream 720p-quality videos previously, they will have now have access to select titles in 1080p quality immediately after their Japanese TV broadcasts.
The 1080p-quality streams in Crunchyroll's lineup include "Naruto Shippūden, Bleach, Nisemonogatari, Hunter x Hunter, The Prince of Tennis II, and over twenty other" anime titles, as well as the live-action drama series Secret Agent Erika and Deka Kurokawa Suzuki.
