Jō Takezuki's story of high school boy who assumes role of slaying gods
A commercial for the second issue of Shueisha's Super Dash & Go! magazine revealed that a television anime adaptation of Jō Takezuki's Campione! light novel series has been green-lit. The "battle fantasy" story follows an ordinary high school student named Godō Kusanagi who kills a god and claims its powers. As a result, Godō becomes a Campione who slays other gods.
Takezuki published the first light novel volume in 2008 with illustrations by Sikorsky. The 10th volume shipped in August, and Jirō Sakamoto launched a manga adaptation in the inaugural issue of Super Dash & Go! in October.
