30 Arrested for Uploading Files via Share, Cabos, BitTorrent, Sites

Between November 28 and 30, police in the 47 prefectures of Japan searched 76 locations and arrested 30 separate people on suspicion of using file-sharing software (Share, Cabos, and BitTorrent) or online storage sites to upload films, anime, software, and music online without the copyright holders' permission. The suspects range in age from 24 to 60, and at least one was female.
Among the files shared were Blue Exorcist and Hajime no Ippo anime, Arrietty, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, and AKB48 music.
