Sega Acquires U.S. MMO Game Maker Three Rings Design

The game developer Sega announced on Friday that it acquired the American online game company Three Rings Design. The transaction was actually completed on October 31. Three Rings Design was founded in 2001, and it created the massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) Puzzle Pirates, along with the MMORPG Spiral Knights in collaboration with Sega. It is now working on Doctor Who: Worlds in Time, a MMO game of the British science-fiction franchise Doctor Who.
