Canada's Waterloo Fest Cancels Shinkai's Hoshi o Ou Kodomo
posted on by Egan Loo
The 2011 Waterloo Festival of Animated Cinema (WFAC) announced on Sunday that it had to cancel its 1:00 p.m. screening of Makoto Shinkai's Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below (Hoshi o Ou Kodomo) film later in the day. WFAC cited "reasons beyond our control" for the cancellation, and it is replacing Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below with a free showing of an audience-selected film from the rest of the festival's lineup.
The festival already screened Kazuya Murata and Bones' Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos and Jun Shishido and Madhouse's The Princess and the Pilot (To Aru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku).
Update: WFAC will replace Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below with another showing of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos.
