Production I.G's A Letter to Momo Film Slated for April 21

Production I.G confirmed that Hiroyuki Okiura's A Letter to Momo (Momo e no Tegami) anime film will open in Japan on April 21, after saying that it would open during spring's Golden Week holidays. Production I.G also formally announced the main cast for the project, although the voices had been revealed in international film festival screenings earlier this year:
- Karen Miyama as Momo Miyaura
- Yuka as Ikuko Miyaura (Momo's mother)
- Toshiyuki Nishida as Iwa (Momo's guardian spirit)
The story follows a girl named Momo who struggles with her father's sudden passing and resulting move to the countryside. Momo finds an otherworldly surprise at her new home. okiura spent seven years planning, writing, storyboarding, and directing the film; it is his first return to the proverbial director's chair since Jin-Roh in 2000.
