Tae Sano's 4-panel manga about local idol in rural village
Morita-san wa Mukuchi manga creator Tae Sano launched her new series Mura Doll in the December issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Family magazine on Monday. The four-panel manga revolves around a middle school girl who is unexpectedly chosen to become the local idol of a rural village.
Houbunsha's Manga Time Web site had revealed the manga via rough sketches of the characters and storyboards of the first manga installment.
Sano's Morita-san wa Mukuchi manga inspired a television anime series that just received a second season, as well as an original anime DVD project. Crunchyroll has been streaming the television anime into several countries as it airs in Japan.
