Noriko Kasuya's Watashi wa Shadow Manga Gets Live-Action Show

Noriko Kasuya's Watashi wa Shadow josei manga will get a live-action television drama adaption in October. The series, titled Sengyōshufu Tentei~ Watashi wa Shadow (Housewife Detective~ I am a Shadow), will star Kyoko Fukuda (Kamikaze Girls, Tōfu Kozō, Yatterman) as the housewife-turn-detective Sena Asagi.
Naohito Fujiki (GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka, 20th Century Boys, Hotaru no Hikari) will play Sena's husband, Takefumi, who is also a detective. Kenta Kiritani (Crows Zero, Beck), Arata Furuta (20th Century Boys, Utsurun Desu.), Ashina Sei (Kamen Rider Hibiki), Kenichi Endō (Crows Zero, Origin: Spirits of the Past), Yuriko Ishida (Princess Mononoke, Kokuriko-Zaka Kara), and Fumiyo Kohinata (Casshern, Dark Water) round out the cast. Aki Isoyama (Ikebukuro West Gate Park) will produce the show.
Watashi wa Shadow was published in Shueisha's You Magazine between 2007 and 2010. The manga follows Sena Asagi, a housewife who is completely devoted to supporting her husband, but by chance becomes a detective and makes a new start as a strong woman.
