Anime of Xbox 360 game to premiere on July 7
The official website for the new anime adaptation of The IDOLM@STER game franchise began streaming the second 30-second television commercial on Tuesday. The site also announced that Tower Records has "hired" the Real 765 Pro project, in which The IDOLM@STER girls promote other companies. In particular, Tower Records is starting a collaborative campaign on August 10 to promote The IDOLM@STER's tie-in CD singles and character goods.
In the original Xbox 360 game, the player manages the careers of 10 aspiring Japanese idol singers as a producer. The new television anime ties into The IDOLM@STER 2 game sequel, which shipped in Japan in February. The anime will premiere on July 7.
