Manyū Hiken-chō's BD/DVD Volumes to Include Mini Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
The Blu-ray Disc and DVD release for the television anime adaptation of Hideki Yamada's Manyū Hiken-chō manga will launch on October 4 with "mini anime" shorts as bonus video extras. In addition to the first three television anime episodes, the first volume will include the "Binyū Tanren-hō • Nyū-Togi" mini anime and the "Kaede no 'Chifusa-sama Oppai Seichō Kiroku'" picture drama (a story told with still-frame images, usually with a soundtrack). The first volume will also bundle a special oppai (breasts) bromide card and a reversible jacket with a "sexy oppai" illustration by character designer Jun Takagi on the back.
Hideki Yamada's "ultimate bishōjo action" story is set in a parallel Taihei Edo period and follows Chifusa (Minako Kotobuki), an amply porportioned sword fighter in the Manyū clan. Director Hiraku Kaneko and animation director Jun Takagi are reuniting to work on this new anime after working on Seikon no Qwaser. The anime will premiere on July 10. The first promotional video for the anime began streaming in April:
