California's AM2 to Run Tokyopop Liquidation Sale

The California-based AM2 Japanese pop culture event announced on Friday that it will host a liquidation sale for the manga publisher Tokyopop, which is closing its North American publishing division at the end of May. The sale will take place during the July 1-3 event in the exhibit hall at the Anaheim Convention Center.
While the AM2 event does not require the purchase of a badge for entry, attendees can purchase a premium "Passport" which grants them special access and seating at events. AM2 has announced that these Passport-holders will get unspecified discounts on items at the liquidation sale.
Tokyopop announced last month that it would host a "garage sale" and granted fans selected via a Facebook contest access to a private sale. The public sale was held on May 7.
