posted on by Egan Loo
The official website and Twitter account of the Wandering Son (Hourou Musuko) television anime series confirmed that the episode that just aired in Japan this week is actually an edited compilation of the anime's 10th and 11th episodes.
The television episode "10 + 11" was composed from footage from the 10th episode, "Boku Dake Warawareta ~Black Sheep~," and the 11th episode, "Kokuhaku ~Each season~." The original versions of these two episodes will appear in the fifth and sixth Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes on August 24 and September 21, respectively.
There is also a 12th episode that will be included on the sixth and final Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume. The media-distribution website Crunchyroll began streaming this week's compilation episode outside Japan within an hour of its airing on Fuji Television's Noitamina programming block.
The story revolves around two fifth graders: Shūichi Nitori, a boy who wishes to be a girl, and Yoshino Takatsuki, a girl who wishes to be a boy. Fantagraphics will publish the first volume of Takako Shimura's original manga on June 15.
