posted on by Daryl Bunao
Money generated via video views to be donated to victims of March 11 quake, tsunami
The major Japanese manga publisher Shueisha directed visitors from its website and Shonen Jump's website to a YouTube video message from Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump creator Akira Toriyama. Shueisha will donate all advertising revenue from people watching the video to victims of the March 11 earthquake (Tōhoku Chihō Taiheiyō-oki Jishin) and tsunami.
Shueisha has since posted an English version of Toriyama's message on Thursday. English comments made by viewers on that video will be translated into Japanese for victims of the disaster. Toriyama had previously drawn an illustrated message of support for the victims.
