Black Rock Shooter's 4-Panel Manga Launches This Week
posted on by Egan Loo
The figure manufacturer Good Smile Company confirmed in a Sunday blog entry (Japanese) that the Black Rock-chan four-panel manga will launch in the inaugural issue of Kadokawa Shoten's 4-Koma Nano Ace magazine on Wednesday. In the manga, the artist ringo turns the Black Rock Shooter franchise's title character and her nemesis Dead Master into the super-deformed characters "Rock-chan" and "De-chan."
According to Good Smile Company, it is "pure coincidence" that the manga is launching on the same day as the browser-based game Puchitto Rock Shooter. Black Rock Shooter originated as an illustration by the artist huke, and has since spawned both anime and games.
