Ufotable's Gods Eater Game Prequel Anime Streamed
posted on by Gia Manry
Videogame website Siliconera began streaming the 12-minute English-subtitled animated prequel to the PSP videogame Gods Eater Burst. Anime studio ufotable originally created the anime as a prequel to the original God Eater game, and it animated the in-game animation footage.
The video takes place in the year 2065, six years before the events of the videogame. In the video, three wielders of the "divine weapons" from the Fenrir Far East branch, an elite military task force, arrive at a military operation against the powerful creatures called Aragami. One of the three, Sōma, is a protagonist in the videogame, which D3 Publisher is localizing and will release in North America on March 15 with a suggested retail price of US$39.99. Namco Bandai released the game in Japan on October 28, 2010.
According to Siliconera, the prequel will not be made available "on disc."
Namco Bandai streamed additional trailers for the game last September.
