Angel Beats Band's Last 2 CD Singles Rank #2, #3 (Updated)

"Last Song" and "Ichiban no Takaramono ~Yui final ver.~," the last two CD maxi-singles from the Angel Beats! anime's fictional Girls Dead Monster band, ranked #2 and #3 on Oricon's sales ranking chart for the December 6-12 week. Each CD sold 35,000 copies (rounded to the nearest thousand).
"Last Song" is Girls Dead Monster's fourth single and the second single from the character Iwasawa (as voiced by "marina"), who is also credited with the "Crow Song" single that ranked #7 in April. "Ichiban no Takaramono ~Yui final ver.~" is the band's fifth single, as sung by the character Yui ("LiSA") and featured in the anime's 10th episode.
"Chance no Junban," the 19th single by the all-female idol grpup AKB48, was the week's new #1 CD single with 597,000 copies sold. It was the group's fifth single to rank #1 in one year, which ties the record for most #! singles by a female musical act in one year. The last time that a female musical act accomplished this feat in Japan was Pink Lady 32 years ago.
