Kazuaki's Kai Yorihito Kaiyori Shiki Manga Pulled Due to Infringement (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
The editors of Enterbrain's Comic B's-LOG magazine have confirmed on Wednesday that the covers and some interior art from Kazuaki's first two (and thus far only) Kai Yorihito Kaiyori Shiki manga volumes infringed on copyrights. Specifically, readers pointed out that these volumes used licensed photographs without permission, and the editors confirmed these allegations after an inquiry.
As a result, the editors have halted shipments of the two volumes and put them out of print. The editors apologized to the copyright holders, their readers, and everyone involved. The manga creator Kazuaki also apologized on Enterbrain's website.

Kazuaki worked on the illustrations for honeybee's Starry Sky drama CD/game franchise, but honeybee has replaced the franchise's website with a notice while it investigates if Starry Sky's illustrations also infringed on copyrights. The franchise has an anime in the works, but Kazuaki is not listed in the credits. Kazuaki has replaced her own personal website with an apology note. [Via Kyō mo Yarareyaku]
