Yuri Seijin Naoko-san Manga Gets Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
The November issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine is announcing on Monday that an anime adaptation of kashmir's Yuri Seijin Naoko-san manga has been green-lit. The surreal gag manga follows a quiet, timid girl named Misuzu whose older sister Naoko is returning from studying aboard. However, when she hurries home to meet her sister, Misuzu instead encounters Naoko-san, the strange alien from Yuri-sei (Yuri Planet) who loves eroticism, yuri, and girls.
The manga has been running in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh since 2005, and the second compiled book volume shipped in 2008. The magazine's website is hosting a trial version of the first three pages from the manga. The two manga volumes featured limited-edition bundles with three songs. The musical group MOSAIC.WAV created the songs for a (then hypothetical) anime version.
