Tokyopop Adds T. Hori's Crimson Snow Boys-Love Manga
posted on by Gia Manry
The North American manga distributor Tokyopop has confirmed that its Blu boys-love imprint will release Tomoki Hori's manga Crimson Snow (Ake Nure Goyō ni Furu Yuki wa). Scheduled for release on March 1, 2011, the book is a collection of individual stories, the foremost of which focuses on a wounded yakuza member and a young Japanese tea ceremony master. Gentosha's Birz Comics Lynx Collection imprint published the volume in Japan in 2008.
Tokyopop also confirmed Chibi Vampire: Bites, the title of the previously announced Chibi Vampire official fan book. The volume was originally scheduled for release in January of 2011, but online retailers now list a release date of December 28, 2010.
Tokyopop originally licensed Yuna Kagesaki's vampire comedy manga Karin and renamed it Chibi Vampire in 2005. Kagesaki ended the series in Japan in 2008. Earlier this year, the publisher announced that it would also release Kagesaki's collection of short stories in the same universe, Chibi Vampire: Airmail. An anime adaptation of the series aired in Japan in 2005 and was originally licensed in the United States by Geneon Entertainment. At Anime Expo 2008, Funimation announced that it would distribute the title.
