Kozue Amano's Amanchu! Goes Quarterly Due to Pregnancy
posted on by Egan Loo
The October issue of Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine has announced on Monday that Kozue Amano is shifting her Amanchu! manga from a monthly schedule to quarterly due to her pregnancy and eventual childcare. The next installment will appear in the January 2011 issue on November 30.
The Innocent manga has launched in the same October issue of Monthly Comic Blade. Jun'ichi Fujisaku (The Beast Player Erin, Blood+, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) is writing this story based on a concept by producer Avi Arad (Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man), and Korean artist Ya-Sung Ko (Innocent Venus character co-designer) is drawing the title.
Amano launched Amanchu! in November of 2008 after having finished her best known manga, Aria, earlier that year. ADV Manga and later Tokyopop licensed the Aria manga for North America. Right Stuf and its Nozomi Entertainment production arim released the various anime adaptations of Aria.
