Saint Seiya's Kurumada Draws Clash of the Titans Poster
posted on by Egan Loo
Not-So-Daily Link of the Day II: Masami Kurumada, the creator of the Saint Seiya fantasy action manga, is drawing the Japanese promotional poster for another work influenced by Greek mythology, Louis Leterrier's 2010 remake of the Clash of the Titans film. Saint Seiya has not only been a popular manga and anime franchise in Japan, but also a hit in much of Europe — particularly in France.
During an interview at his film's March 29 world premiere in London, the French native Leterrier revealed that he is a big Saint Seiya fan. He specifically cited the armor that the gods wear in his film remake as a sign of homage and respect to Saint Seiya. Clash of the Titans' distributor Warner Brothers then asked Kurumada to collaborate on the film's poster art in Japan.
