Ōkami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi TV Anime Reportedly Green-Lit
posted on by Egan Loo
A wraparound jacket band for books has reportedly announced that a television anime adaptation of Masashi Okita's Ōkami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (Ōkami-san and the Seven Friends) romantic comedy light novel series has been green-lit.
The story centers around Ryōko Ōkami, a high school freshman girl known for her fierce looks, unusual canine teeth when she smiles, and wild demeanor. (Her family name is homonymous with the Japanese word for "wolf.") Ringo Akai is a short high school freshman girl with seemingly cute, angelic looks but a dark demeanor. (Her name is a Japanese wordplay on "apple" and "Red Riding Hood.") Together with their odd friends, the two fight to change the world, one issue at a time.
Okita has published nine volumes in the light novel series since 2006.
