Akitarō Daichi, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi's anime ran in Kimi wa Break show until show's end

The Japanese television station TBS has announced on its website that the Yume o Kanaeru Zō (The Dream-Granting Elephant) anime series will return this winter. In the anime, acclaimed director Akitarō Daichi (Fruits Basket, Kodomo no Omocha, Now and Then, Here and There) adapts a bestselling novel by Keiya Mizuno about a Japanese man who gets help from the Indian god Ganesha. It features the first television anime voice role in 15 years by SMAP bandmember Tsuyoshi Kusanagi.

The anime was part of the Kimi wa Break variety news program from January 13 until September 15, the day that Kimi wa Break was cancelled. TBS has not specified if Yume o Kanaeru Zō will return with all-new episodes or with the nine episodes that previously aired.
