Taiiku Sōko TV Series Teaches Gymnastics with Mascots

Gymnastics equipment anthropomorphized as characters training for Olympics
On Monday, the BS Fuji satellite television channel will premiere Taiiku Sōko (Gymnastics Warehouse), a new weekly program that uses mascots (yuru-character) to teach the basics of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. The "fantasy story" takes place early on quiet mornings when no one is around. In the gym storeroom of a certain school, anthropomorphized gymnastics equpiment are aiming for the Olympics. In particular, there is a boy named "Gym-kun" who loves gymnastics. The voice cast features several Fuji Television personalities and announcers:
Ayako Katou: Gym-kun
Minako Nakano: Anbā (pommel horse)
Yōko Shōno: Chōbā (vault)
X: Kurara
Kikue Nishiyama: Gai
Midori Matsuo: Danchi (uneven bars)
Toshihiro Itō: Kin (balance beam)
Jōji Fukui: Yukazō (floor exercise)
Two episodes will air from 12:30 to 12:50 p.m every Monday.
