Viz to Launch Inuyasha: The Final Act Simulcast on Saturday (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
The North American anime distributor Viz Media has confirmed at its New York Anime Festival panel on Sunday that it will start simulcasting the InuYasha: The Final Act television anime series on Saturday, October 3. The streaming will be hosted at shonensunday.com/anime and hulu.com online. The television series will adapt the final 21 compiled book volumes in Rumiko Takahashi's original manga. The Animax Asia television channel will begin running the same anime series in several Asian countries on October 10 — one week after the Japanese premiere. Takahashi had ended the manga in the Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in June of 2008, and Viz Media publishes the manga in North America.
Viz Media also confirmed that the Syfy television channel will premiere the anime adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's Monster manga in the United States on October 12.
Update: InuYasha: The Final Act simulcast's day of the week corrected. Thanks, LagannImpact.
