The Clique, Shutter Island Novels Get Graphic Novels

Yen Press confirmed last week that it is adapting The Clique novels by Lisi Harrison into graphic novels. Yishan Li is illustrating this story about the high-pressure social circles at "Westchester County's most exclusive girls' private middle school." The first volume will ship in July. The #1 New York Times bestselling novel series has sold nearly 8 million copies.
ICv2 reports that Tokyopop will translate and publish Christian de Metter's graphic novel adaptation of Dennis Lehane's 2003 thriller novel Shutter Island on January 5. Martin Scorsese is directing Paramount's film version which will open in February. Leonardo di Caprio plays an FBI agent searching for a missing patient at a hospital for the criminally insane on an island when a hurricane and a mass escape occur.
