Kuroshitsuji & Ultraviolet's Becca to Sing at Otakon

Singer/songwriter to perform July 17-19 event in Baltimore, Maryland

The Otakon convention has announced that American theme singer/songwriter Becca will perform at the July 17-19 event in Baltimore, Maryland. Becca wrote and performed the "I'm Alive" ending theme song for the television anime version of Yana Toboso's Kuroshitsuji manga. She previously contributed the "Guilty Pleasure" opening theme song and "Falling Down" ending theme song to Ultraviolet: Code 044, Madhouse's animated spinoff from Kurt Wimmer's live-action Ultraviolet film.

Meredith Brooks, a singer/songwriter in her own right who is best known for her international hit single "Bitch," discovered Becca after receiving a demo from a family friend of Becca. (Brooks co-wrote "I'm Alive" with Becca.) Becca made her record label debut just last June with Sony Music in Japan.
