Munto Anime Film's Ads Streamed for April 18 Opening (Updated)

The official website for Last War of Heavenloids and Akutoloids (Tenjō-nin to Akuto-nin Saigo no Tatakai), the theatrical movie finale to the Munto fantasy anime franchise, has begun streaming two commercials for the movie's opening this Saturday in Tokyo. The film will be director Yoshiji Kigami's cut of the climactic scenes from the Sora o Miageru Shōjo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai television series with new footage. The television series itself is a remake of Kyoto Animation's original Munto fantasy video series.
The fantasy story centers on a seemingly ordinary girl named Yumemi who can see a magical world in the skies above our world, and the king named Munto who must find Yumemi to save his own world. The television version premiered in Japan on January 13 and ended last month after nine episodes. Central Park Media released the original video series in North America in 2004 and 2006. The film will run in two theaters in Tokyo and Kyoto from April 18 to May 1.
