Crunchyroll to Simulcast Ristorante Paradiso on Wednesday

The media distribution website Crunchyroll has confirmed that it is streaming the television anime adaptation of Natsume Ono's Ristorante Paradiso manga for free on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. PT. The manga and anime's story is set in a restaurant in Rome that the heroine Nicoletta (Fumiko Orikasa) visits from the countryside. Her parents divorced when she was young, so her grandparents raised her while her mother Olga (Haruhi Terada) tried to remarry. Nicoletta goes to the restaurant owned by Lorenzo (Kenji Nomura), Olga's new husband, and ends up apprenticing there among a kitchen staff of colorful characters.
The anime premieres in Japan on Wednesday in a one-hour special, although the second episode is streamng on Crunchyroll on the same day only for the website's Anime Membership subscribers. Mitsuko Kase (SaiKano, Glass Maiden, Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory) is directing this project at the david production studio. Shinichi Inotsume (Hayate the Combat Butler) is supervising the scripts, and Itsuko Takeda (Boys Be..., The Galaxy Railways, Mirage of Blaze) is adapting Ono's characters for animation.
