Yen Press to Reissue Azumanga in New English Edition (Update 2)

Yen Press Publishing Director Kurt Hassler told the Tiamat's Manga Reviews website that it will publish a new English-language edition of Kiyohiko Azuma's Azumanga Daioh four-panel comedy manga this December. ADV Manga published four volumes of the manga as separate books in 2003-2004 and as one ominibus book in 2007 in North America.

Update: A new edition will ship in Japan to mark the 10th anniversary of the manga with new exclusive artwork, but Yen Press has not indicated if its version will be based on the new Japanese edition.
Update 2: Hassler has since told Tiamat's Manga Reviews that although he would like to use the 10th anniversary edition from Japan, he is not "sure this will be possible." For now, Yen's version will be a newly translated and lettered version of ADV Manga's release.
