Sasameki Koto Yuri Manga Gets TV Anime Green-Lit
posted on by Egan Loo
A fold-out pamphlet for the Japanese publisher Media Factory's upcoming Alive Comics book volumes has announced that a television anime adaptation of Takashi Ikeda's Sasameki Koto yuri manga has been green-lit. The story revolves around Sumika, a popular high school honors student who has a secret she does not reveal to anyone: she loves her classmate Ushio. Sumika hears that Ushio is also "a girl who likes girls," but Sumika's feelings have yet to be reciprocated. This "school drama manga depicting a fresh look at bittersweet adolescence" has been running in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine since 2007, and the fourth volume of the manga will ship on March 23.
The current issue of Monthly Comic Alive had promised that three important announcements would be made in the next issue on March 27. The anime adaptations of Okina Kamino's Asobi ni iku yo! light novel series and Toshihiko Tsukiji's Kämpfer light novel series were already revealed. (The manga for both light novel series run in Monthly Comic Alive.)
