Cookin' Idol Ai! Mai! Main! TV Anime to Debut in March

Kids can learn cooking from anime heroine & her live-action actress
The weekday Cookin' Idol Ai! Mai! Main! cooking anime for elementary schoolchildren will premiere on Japan's NHK-Educational public television network on March 30 from 5:40 to 5:50 p.m. Children can learn to cook with the heroine Main as she demonstrates various dishes in the anime half of the program. The live-action half of the program will have Main's voice actress, Haruka Fukuhara, taking on the challenge of cooking the actual dishes. One of the voice actresses, Chisa Yokoyama, had already revealed in her blog that she would be launching the Cookin' Idol Ai! Mai! Main! anime on March 30.Hiroshi Watanabe (Slayers, Orphen, Video Girl Ai) will direct off the scripts supervised by Miharu Hirami (Kodocha). Atsuko Nakajima (Getbackers, Ranma ½, Urusei Yatsura) is overseeing the animators at NAS (Studio DEEN), while Maho Takahashi (Bamboo Blade, My Bride is a Mermaid, Pumpkin Scissors) is handling the art direction.
