Rumiko Takahashi to Publish 1-Shot 'Unmei no Tori' Manga

This year's sixth issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Original magazine will publish a new one-shot manga by Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, Urusei Yatsura) on March 5. The latest in Takahashi's annual short stories will be titled "Unmei no Tori" (The Bird of Fate). According to the tagline, the story will be about "the great modern recession that you couldn't see coming. Have you ever wondered … if you could know if the future holds happiness for you or…?"
Takahashi will launch a new serialized manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine this spring. This separate, unnamed manga series has already been licensed by Viz Media and will be released in English by the end of 2009.
