Toys "R" Us Expands Pokémon Presence in U.S. Stores

The Toys "R" Us retain chain will be expanding its display areas devoted to Pokémon merchandise, under a new agreement this week with Pokémon USA. The expanded areas will be at the entrances of the videogame departments in the chain's stores nationwide, and New York City's Toys "R" Us Times Square flagship store in particular will have install a dedicated boutique. The next iteration of the videogame franchise, Pokémon Platinum, ships in the United States on March 22. Tomy's first American Pokémon item will also ship this year.
