Manga artist Tomoko Ninomiya revealed on her personal "Working Note" blog on Saturday that she will be returning to Kodansha's Kiss magazine on March 10 after taking time off to have her baby and recover from carpal tunnel syndrome. According to her blog, she finished coloring the cover for an issue of Kiss and is now plotting out a story.
Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile manga has been on hiatus since October. On October 24, she gave birth to a baby boy. However, she reported in a November blog entry that she could not raise her right arm because an unknown pain in her shoulder and arm. She then wrote in January that the numbness led to swelling and pain, so she saw a doctor.
The new Nodame Cantabile: Paris anime sequel aired in Japan from October to December, and two live-action films were later announced for release in 2010. Del Rey will publish the 16th of the 21 current volumes of the manga in North America this month.

Update: Ninomiya also noted in her newest blog entry that her family held the traditional Japanese weaning ceremony for her baby. (The blog entry has photographs of the food and the baby sleeping while a "real Nodame" plays on the piano.) She adds that her carpal tunnels in her wrists are fine now, but she cannot turn her right shoulder as usual. Still, she said that she will continue serializing her work however she can.
