posted on by Egan Loo
Two television specials will bring Hiroyuki Aihara and Nami Adachi's Franny & Melanie children's picture book series to life next month on Japanese television. The two projects takes the images from the two books and puts them in motion while television announcer Tomoyo Shibata reads the stories aloud with a musical soundtrack. The stories revolve around two rabbit sisters and their daily life among their forest friends. The Franny & Melanie Mori no Soup-ya-san (Franny & Melanie: Soup Restaurateurs of the Forest) special will run on the Kids Station channel on February 1, 7, and 28, while the Franny & Melanie: Suteki na Ongaku-kai (Franny & Melanie: The Wonderful Concert) will run on February 7 and 28.
