hosting a 12-page preview from
Osamu Tezuka's classic
Astro Boy manga yesterday. The preview shows the origin story of the young robot, and Tezuka himself makes an cameo in the manga; Tezuka breaks the fourth wall to look at how the real world changed in the decades since
Astro Boy debuted. This month,
Dark Horse is reprinting the manga in a new edition that combines the first two volumes in the original edition. Hong Kong's
IMAGI studio is
planning to release a computer-animated
Astro Boy film next year.
