posted on by Egan Loo
The official Japanese website for the anime adaptation of Mizue Tani and Asako Takaboshi's Hakushaku to Yōsei light novels is streaming a promotional video. Set in Victorian-era England, the light novels follow a 17-year-old named Lydia Carlton whose fascination with fairies led to her nickname, the "Fairy Doctor." While sailing to London, Lydia encounters Edgar J.C. Ashenheart, the Count of the Blue Knights, and joins him on his search for the sword of his family lineage.
The site has also announced more additions to the cast that now includes Hikaru Midorikawa as Edgar J. C. Ashenheart, Nana Mizuki as Lydia Carlton, Tomokazu Sugita as Raven, Hiro Yuuki as Nico, Hiroshi Kamiya as Paul, and Takehito Koyasu as Kelpie, Sayaka Ōhara as Ermin, Mamoru Miyano as Ulysses, Tōru Ohkawa as Professor Carlton, and Chafūrin as Tomkins. The first anime episode will be previewed in Japan on September 28, before the regular broadcast begins on October 10. Artist Ayuko has already started her manga adaptation (pictured at right) earlier this week.
