Hells Angels Anime to Premiere in October in Japan
posted on by Egan Loo
The animecs TIFF program at the Tokyo International Film Festival announced on Friday that it will screen the world premiere of Yoshiki Yamakawa's anime adaptation of Sin-Ichi Hiromoto's Hells Angels manga in October. This dark fantasy, from the artist of the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi manga, follows a girl's journey to hell and back. The Madhouse animation company is producing the adaptation with character designs by Kazuto Nakazawa (Samurai Champloo, El Hazard - The Magnificent World) and monster designs by Yasushi Nirasawa (Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Hellboy film). The Tokyo International Film Festival had actually planned to screen the project last year, but the anime was withdrawn due to various issues.
