Kano Duo to Star in I.G's Abunai Sisters Anime DVD

Kyoko Kano and Mika Kano, two Japanese celebrities who go by the name of the "Kano Sisters," announced at the Otakon event in Maryland this past Saturday that they will virtually star in an anime DVD called Abunai Sisters -Koko & Mika-. Their animated alter-egos are actresses who "are, in fact, secret agents on a mission to discipline the wicked men of the world." Koko is the markswoman of the duo, while the animated version of Mika is the martial arts expert.
The anime DVD will contain 10 three-minute episodes and feature designs by prominent illustrator Susumu Matsushita. Matsushita previously designed the characters in the Kiba and Monkey Magic television anime series, created the mascot for the Orix Buffalos baseball team, and has been drawing many of the covers of Famitsu magazine. Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell, Blood: The Last Vampire) is animating this production of Pony Canyon and Fuji TV. The distributor netprice is planning a January worldwide DVD release that is limited to pre-orders only.
