Based on graphic novel series by Yoshii Gouda and directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi, Happily Ever After tells the story of a marriage going downhill. Actress Miki Nakatani portrays Yukie Morita, a women who works at a noodle shop and tries desperately to make things work with her husband Isao (played by Hiroshi Abe). Isao gambles and has a bad temper, which is why Yukie's friends advise her to walk away from Isao. However unconditional love prevents her from doing this.
