The WOWOW premium television service has announced that it will run a live-action drama version of Ishoku Tanpen-Shū (Unique Short Stories), a collection of speculative short stories from Doraemon co-creator Fujiko F. Fujio, starting at midnight on October 31 in Japan. The first of the six Fujiko F. Fujio's Parallel Space episodes, "Nebumi Camera," will star Masami Nagasawa as an aspring photographer who comes across a camera with unusual features at her family's antique shop. Four of the other episodes will be "Aitsu no Time Machine" with Tomoko Tabata, "Kawai-ko-kun" with Kumiko Asou, "Sei-Chikyū Ron" with Mitsuki Tanimura, and "Bokura Kyōwakoku" with Nanami Hinata. The original manga stories ran in Shogakukan's Big Comic, Asahi Sonorama's Manga Shonen, Futabasha's Manga Action, or other magazines from 1975 to 1981.
