Di Gi Charat Video Site Launched on Japan's Nico Nico

On Wednesday, the Nico Nico Douga video-sharing service has launched Nyoko Nyoko Douga, a new section dedicated to the Di Gi Charat franchise with new streamed videos every weekday. (Registration is required on the site.) The site marks the 10th anniversary of Di Gi CHARAT or Dejiko, the mascot character of Broccoli's Gamers! retail stores in Japan.
One of the 48 shorts from the Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat television series will be added every weekday, while new episodes of the eight-part Pyoko ni Omakase Pyo! anime will be added every other Wednesday. The site is also streaming installments of Di Gi Charat creator Koge Donbo's nima nima manga with Flash animation and voiceovers. Nina nima takes Dombo*'s Gema Gema four-panel gag manga from the free in-store From Gamers! magazine, and adds animation and a soundtrack with new voice actresses Satomi Akesaka (Dejiko), Nao Minakami (Puchiko), and Rieka Yazawa (Usada). More material for users on personal computers and mobile devices will also be added.
