Vampire Hunter D's Kikuchi to Celebrate Birthday with Fans

Designer Amano, translator Leahy to join restaurant party with up to 10 fans
Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: The New York Anime Festival has announced that Vampire Hunter D author Hideyuki Kikuchi will celebrate his birthday after the convention on September 28 with a restaurant party with his illustrator Yoshitaka Amano, translator Kevin Leahy, and up to 10 fans. Kikuchi actually marks his 59th birthday on September 25, but will be too busy to celebrate until after the convention. Up to 10 fans can pay US$125 to join the three guests in Midtown Manhattan for appetizers, salad, entrée, dessert, birthday cake, and unlimited drinks. The dinner will also include autographs from all three guests. Tickets are available on the convention's website.
