Kazune Kawahara's title to end after five years, more than 11 volumes
Manga artist Kazune Kawahara will end her High School Debut manga in the August issue (on sale on July 11) of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine. The announcement was made in the current issue, which went on sale this week. Shueisha published the 11th compiled volume in Japan in April, and at least one more volume is needed to complete the five-year-old series.
The manga's story follows a girl who recruits a boy to remake her image in order to get a boyfriend. Under Yoh's supervision, Haruna transforms from a softball-playing tomboy to a feminine girl. However, Yoh adds one catch to their agreement: Haruna cannot fall in love with Yoh himself.
Viz Media will publish the fourth volume of High School Debut in North America in July.
